Let Them Take Baths!

In honor of National Bath Week I want to share a few simple tips on how to take your bath to the next level!

*Disclaimer:
You do not need a beautiful big tub to get the relaxing benefits of a bath. I have a very normal-sized tub (AKA way too small & I barely fit in it), but I still enjoy frequent baths as part of my quiet me-time (AKA those times I pretend my children aren’t barging in with my husband wrangling them away so I have a few moments to just breathe).

FIRST UP, AMBIANCE!
Low lights, candles, music … Or maybe you prefer complete silence. Either way, it sounds peaceful and spa-like right?

And do not forget a drink! Whether it is a simple glass of water or something a little more fun (champagne maybe?) Having something to sip helps make bath time a bit more fun and is actually practical!

Warm baths can make you parched and hot baths can dehydrate you (and your skin! Best to keep it warm). Sipping water will help counter that. Add some flare to your water by adding berries, mint, or sliced cucumbers!
Want something fancier? Red wine is a great option because the humidity from your bath helps the flavor profile open up!

DON’T FORGET THE BUBBLES! 
I love adding bubbles to my bath! Unfortunately many brands are loaded with chemicals, sulfates, and other not-so natural ingredients that can dry and irritate skin.
You want to use a sulfate-free option like Perfectly Posh’s Bubble Up™!

DON’T FORGET YOUR MASKS & SCRUBS!
A bath is the perfect time to pamper from head to toe! Use a fabulous body scrub, such as Beach Blanket, or polish, like You Apricaught Me, to help slosh of dead, dry skin and will leave your skin soft and glowing!

Don’t forget a moisturizing face mask! Steam from the bath opens pores which will allow your mask to work better and deeper! Avoid masks that are more intense and require less time (like Cackle Spackle) and avoid sheet masks (including Cheat Sheets) since they tend to slip off from the humidity. There is a time and a place for these awesome masks, but the bath isn’t one of them!
